Let the New Year begins with a completely new category- ‘Flora’. And it is the first post in this category. These are Floating Hearts (Scientific name- Nymphoides hydrophylla). The reason behind such naming must lies under the shape of the leaves which are also floating on the water surface. They belongs to the family Menyanthaceae.

In Boisa Beel region they are found in a great number. Last month this image is taken in Boisa Beel.
