Both are the common species in our Boisa Beel region. This image is taken in January, this year. The butterfly (Sc. name Chilades pandava) belongs to the family Lycaenidae. Another butterfly species namely Gram Blue  (Sc. name Euchrysops cnejus) looking almost similar to this one and belongs to the same family. So, be careful about its identity.

The plant is also very common spreading almost everywhere covering the bank of the Boisa Beel. It is an ornamental plant common name for which is Bank Mat or Frog Fruit (in Bengali-ভুঁই ওকরা). Sc. name: Phyla nodiflora.

This image is taken from the eastern bank of Boisa.
